i was preparing the ingredients for my lunch when i saw this:

double yolks in an egg! first time i saw this and dont you think the yolks look like number 88? then i ask my maid is the egg carrying twins and she said something like these eggs are not meant for growing chicks or something. heh, let me get this 88 for my exams and i'll really smile for 88 days without stopping.
*slaps myself awake*

and yes, i had rice-free inaris again for lunch today. instead of hotate(which is very salty), i made egg mayo! and i dice the ingredients until hand super sour leh. i'll even more appreciate diced-up food served/cooked for me in future. i super love the egg mayo leh, very nice! egg is indeed the best food on earth.

dad and mum ate out tonight so we decided to not cook because its pretty difficult to cook for just the 2 of us. my maid decided to have the inaris for dinner while i tried out the new cup pasta that i bought:

haha i didnt know that such things even exist. usually when i cook pasta myself, the pasta itself have to be boiled over hot boiling salt water for at least 15mins while this will be ready in just 4 minutes! so sometimes if i had cravings for pasta, the moment i think of the hassle, i rather not have it already cause im lazy! haha. i actually wanted to choose a tomato-based one but there isnt.

so i followed the instructions and poured hot water into it and covered it up. at first pretty gross la, imagine pasta and cheese powder and water being mixed together, as if its like cheese pasta soup. surprisingly, after 3 to 4 minutes, it turned out to be:

after 3 tastes, i threw the whole cup away. at first i thought it was the starfruit juice that i drank earlier that affected the taste of the pasta. so i tried a 2nd and 3rd time but still the same. my maid tried it too and decided that it was strange too. how to describe leh? i think the cheese tastes somewhat funny. you'll have to try it yourself to know the taste.

nevertheless, its just my own opinions and maybe other people may find the taste to be alright. i think its very creative of them to come up with this though!

***

tomorrow we are going to have family cum relatives dinner outside and i cant wait to get my hands on the xian dan pang xie (salted-egg crab) which is a pretty popular new flavour. so nice!!! and the restaurant also have other signboard (zhao pai) dishes that are also very nice!

oh my oh my, im drooling!

haha i weighed myself and im currently 198357539576kg already!

***

sometimes ok, sometimes not ok.

so is it ok or not?

hey hey! im back with more flavours of the Katjes Gummy sweets!

Berry dessert and Apple bites.

Berry dessert: its a packet of combination of berries. I dont like this flavour. too overly sweet. and it tastes milky? im wondering if the milky taste comes from the white part of the sweet (see the pics on the cover). i checked the nutritional value and true enough, its sugar levels are higher than the other flavours.

Apple bites: i got a shock when i tore the packet off, because it was coated with sugar. so i was sort of expecting it to be like the berry dessert. but to my surprise, its sour in taste and i infer from the packaging that they made it from green apple. superb nice (though i wish they can take away the sugar and leave the sourness there)!

haha, i think i've tasted and tried all the flavours available and my favs are the apple bites, lemon splash and the raspberry hearts! but these are all my own preferences so if interested, you can get them at all leading supermarkets and try the different flavours out!

***

i cannot live without soups and its not everyday that we will have soups for meals (porridge how to eat with soups leh?). its troublesome to specially cook soup for me alone and how to actually cook for 1 person only?

guess how happy i am when i found this in the supermarket:

yes, its wonton soup.

but the actual one found in supermarkets comes in the form of a bowl (i took this pic from their website). its just like cup noodles, except that you have to defrost it before you add hot water and place it into the microwave for 2-3 minutes. very nice you know their soup base and you can control the level of saltiness to your own preferences (by adding more or less water la).

so i get to satisfy my cravings for soup in 3 minutes' time, hassle-free!
(actually you can drink from the bowl itself, dont have to pour it out like what i did, but they never provide plastic spoon la so 95% hassle-free to be exact)

oh my. i need photography lessons.

***

i was choosing a car perfume when i saw this:

melon flavoured!

very curious, because never see this flavour before. it smelt very nice and so i bought it home. at first was struggling to see how to use it. ah! then remembered theres such thing as instructions and it goes: 'activate by twisting and releasing cover'. but its the first time i use such type of an air freshener and i wondered if its supposed to be left like that. but it smells really nice leh, so much so that im afraid if i left it open like that the ants will come. haha!

so thats another food entry! do try the products! errr, except maybe not the melon flavoured air freshener - its not a melon bar hor, dont try to eat it no matter how nice it smells =X

haha!

there was this pair of lovers at this university.

one day, they were at this bridge in school when the guy wanted to break up with the girl.

the guy started to leave but the girl tried to pull him back.

however she wasnt careful and she fell head first into the river below.

her corpse was found only some days later because her head was found to be stuck in the mud at the river bed.

(the guy stayed at school's dormitory)

day 1, 12am - the 1st room of the guys' dormitory: *knock knock knock*

(the guys opened up the door but theres nobody there)

day 2, 12am - the 2nd room of the guys' dormitory: *knock knock knock*

(by this time, people are already starting to speculate that the girl came back looking for the guy and the guy was staying in the 6th room. his roommates decided to leave the room on the 6th night and so the guy was left alone in the room. he got more afraid by the minute and decided to hide in his blanket under his bed.)

day 6, 12am - the 6th room of the guys' dormitory: *knock knock knock*

(the guy was so afraid that he darent open the door. however the knockings got faster and faster. he then decided to peep through the door to see if she's there)

the moment he flipped his blanket off, his gf was looking straight at him, her being upside-down (remember she went head first into the river?).

***

scary-o-meter: 1000/100

im going to sleep with the lights on tonight. i kept visualising the upside-down gf.

was having a conversation with my 6 year old cousin.

~~~~~~~~~~
(he's going to primary one next year and all of us have been reminding him about it and asking him to study hard instead of playing DS only - he loves maths, hates english)
dexter: you now study what ah?
me: im now in university.
dexter: then then then tomorrow you go university then i go primary 2 liao.
~~~~~~~~~~

haha! he was extremely cute when he said those words la and i think he's waiting excitedly for his primary education to start (somemore want to jump straight to primary 2)! ever since we told him he is going to primary one next year, he has been constantly telling us that he will be going to start his primary one the very next day! so he got a lot of 'tomorrows' to start his primary one with!

sometimes the words he says are so adult-like that we were kinda caught unexpectedly and he learnt some kinda vulgar language from his friends at school.

kids nowadays very mature eh?

he's sticking out his tongue at you!

***

speaking of kids:

watch this! u'll laugh your blues away!

super cute can!

=)

***

some nights ago in the wee hours of the morning i searched youtube for Shinhwa and i decided to watch this:

i only uploaded the first part (1/6) of the episode here. click on the video and go see the rest of the parts!

i regretted that i chose this timing (around 3+am) to watch this (super quiet la the environment and everyone sleeping liao). im not going to spoil the video by telling you the contents but i think after you watch it you will know why. unless you are super brave and not scared la.

the hairs on my body shot up to 10cm in length and i contemplated leaving the lights on for the rest of the night.

but from the 4th part onwards, i was laughing so loud that im afraid my neighbour will call the police.

SHINHWA simply ROCKS!
(they super cute and funny)

haha there will be this person nodding her head frantically upon reading this.

***

today no NewPaper to read so i grab chinese papers to read. then theres this section on 'ghostly stuffs' and i ignored it at first but after that i went back to read it. ya, hairs stand again la. cannot help it la, i just like to read and watch horror stuffs but will tend to scare myself in many ways after. you cannot imagine how wild my imagination can go. haha im sure alot of people also like that la.

***

oh shit, i wasted a lot of time already. but what to do? sometimes no mood means no mood, you force yourself also no use.

why am i talking to myself?

i read this entry from ms shoot's blog:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(100% copied from: http://www.futureliesahead.blogspot.com/ - if not she send me lawyer's letter again haha)
So how a toddler defines you as 'kor kor' ( big brother ) and 'jie jie' ( big sister )??
If we view things from a toddler point of view..
It will be..
'Kor Kor' = short hair
'Jie Jie' = long hair
Okay.. So this fateful day when I was on the way home after school..
There's this two year old (approx.) boy standing in the middle of cabin waving to everyone.
And started pointing ( starting from the right )..
Toddler: *pointing to a young lady* Jie jie!!!
Mum: Clever! =)
Toddler: *next....* Jie jie!!!!
Mum: =)
Toddler: *next next......* Jie jie!!!
Mum: O.o =____="
"That jie jie" : =_______________="
HAHAHA!
"That jie jie" is a guy with LONG HAIR!
WOOOoOoOOO~!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

haha! kids are just so cute! i also had an almost similar experience - that is the story happened the other way round. haha so cute la the kids.

***

i went on a wild goose chase for this particular *thing* and almost humtum-ed myself in the process because it was so =.='

special edition chocolates! thanks ya ms shoot!
(she knew that i needed chocolates at this point)

saw a new ad featuring new gummy sweets called the 'fruit jellies' in many mags. it says that its 99% fat free and sugar free. its looks nice and the most important thing is that they have my favourite berries flavour! ya, give me any thing that is berry-ed and i'll cave in. strawberry dutch ice la, ice berry tea la etc.

i bought 3 out of the 4(?) flavours.
(heh, the lemon splash packet was not spoilt, its just that we ripped it off in the car and started snacking on it)

i guess i need not further introduce anymore.

very nice! except maybe that the grape one is a tad sweet.

see that i have a whole box of them above? if you want to try them, can either drop me a line or sms me.

i'll DHL them to you!

went parkway after school today wanting to pick up some stuffs and mum asked me to shun bian buy pineapple and bananas. im afraid that i will forget about it so i decided to get it from the cold storage first. go until there then alamak! i realised that i dont know how to choose a pineapple in its original form (but the without skin one i know haha). so i stand there and see and see and then i finally decided on a particular one and wanted to reach for it. but it was placed right smack in the middle of the other fruits and reaching for it is a little tough so in the end was that i got poked by the pineapple 'leaves' until i bleed. i didnt know that the 'leaves' of the pineapple was so hard and spikey (thought they were of those of soft strawberries kind) - i was sort of grabbing it by the 'leaves' la. not that gushing kind of bleeding though, my fingers looked as if they were poked a needle many times. anyway, had a hard time choosing the bananas too - either riped and dented or unriped and smooth.

buying of 2 fruits initially turned into 3 bags of groceries in the end. lol. all because i decided to make some inari(s)! after cold storage, i went to buy somemore stuffs and lugging 3 bags of groceries while buying other things erm, how to put it into words leh, tough? carry the bags on one hand, trying to open your wallet and taking out cash, receiving change etc. which reminds me of this scenario that i saw the other day when i went marketing. this mummy was carrying her (3 year old?) daughter on one hand and doing grocery shopping at the same time (i believe mummies have to do marketing at least twice a week)? amazing isnt it? im sure a child will definitely weigh heavier than 3 bags of groceries. even without a child, mummies also have to carry many bags of marketing stuffs. 妈妈们真伟大.

i decided to get the rest of my stuffs another day. lol.

anyways, i made a mess of the kitchen!

this is only part of the mess.

tada! my favourite inari(s)!

heh, but they are not the original inari, know why? cause theres no rice inside! lol. too much rice makes me feel disgusted. so i tried making it without rice (i didnt buy the sushi rice anyway).

not that bad, just that its a little too salty? eh, but its supposed to be sweet. so i think its the hotate thats salty cause i find the tuna one super nice!

i bought this!

and i was wondering if im supposed to mix it with normal rice or sushi rice? which im sure everyone knows the answer just that maybe my brain wasnt functioning well at that moment (yeah i have some things bothering me).

and so this packet of sushi mix and seaweed will be left in the cupboard till i get the rice the next time!

till then!

I. SINK. INTO. DEPRESSION. AGAIN.

this time, its 3 times worse than on the 27-2-08. yesterday i already told myself that no matter what i see, i will not be affected by it and that i must learn from my mistakes. but still, say only, cant helped being so disappointed and sad. i tell myself that its because i havent finish revising all the topics before going for the papers so that im not that well prepared. but come to think of it, these are just plain excuses that im giving myself or rather trying to make myself feel better. im the most disappointed with the pmkg paper. the poa paper, i've got not enough time to do the cash flow statement so i thought i write down the format of the whole statement see can get 1/2 or 1 mark for format but when i flip to that page its a big fat zero. im so sad. i've got a lot of things that i want to say but i dont know how to put it into words. im starting to think if im putting the best effort i can now, while preparing for the finals. i guess not. well, even though i lost alot of time already and exams are in 3weeks' time, im sure that if i buck up even more now, i still can catch up.

i must tell myself i can. i must tell myself i can. i must tell myself i can.

i must tell myself to let go of the past and concentrate on the future. i must tell myself to let go of the past and concentrate on the future. i must tell myself to let go of the past and concentrate on the future.

its not working.

the more i think, the more i want to cry.

i know now is the time where all of us are trying to pull our hair out in frustration, bang our heads onto the wall, or even burn away our notes, textbooks and subject guides (maybe only me la) while preparing for exams which are very round the corner.

to prevent myself (and maybe others too haha) from becoming a botak, i decided to share some tongue-in-cheeks to let everyone loosen up for a moment!

Short jokes (of) Husband and Wife:

If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first?
The dog of course... at least he'll shut up after you let him in!

***

A couple had three children. Two of them were bright, smart and handsome but the third child was dull, ugly and backward.
One day the hubby got suspicious and asked: 'Tell me the truth, dear. Is this third child really mine?'
'Yes, dear' replied the wife, 'but the other two are not'.

***

I asked my wife: 'Where do you want to go on our anniversary?'
She said: 'Somewhere I have never been!'
I told her: 'How about the kitchen?'

***

During their silver anniversary, a wife reminded her husband: 'Do you remember when you proposed to me, I was so overwhelmed that I didn't talk for an hour?'
The hubby replied: 'Yes, honey, that was the happiest hour of my life'

***

We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops.

***

haha! kinda funny right?

anyway, add oil and good luck to everyone who are mugging for their exams (including myself)!

those who know my full name will know that my english and chinese name actually sounds the same. not that i dislike or am ashamed by my name (in fact i do love my name very much ok), but in certain circumstances when people read my full name out (especially when they start with my surname first), lots of giggling followed behind and it can be kinda embarassing. i've experienced that in secondary school, oh and also in poly (you know who you are lor, laugh somemore lah haha).

***

i was in my mum's office doing my revision when this conversation popped up:

me: why u give me this (my full) name leh?
(i forgot why we got to the topic on names)

mum: because i want to have the same pronounciation for your english and chinese names mah.

me: but people always laugh and make fun of me when they hear my full name lah. so pai seh leh.

(mum says out my full name, then laughs hysterically)

mum: go and change your name lor. what you want to change it to?

(mum thinks for awhile, then laughs hysterically again)

mum: change your name to 小花 lor. HAHAHA!

me: 沈小花. HAHAHAHA! eileen sim xiao hua.

me: then brother leh? 沈小草 ah?

do u love eating prawns?

maybe you would want to try to prepare this simple and fuss free home-baked garlic prawns!

1) you would need to prepare prawns.

2) preferably this size (if not the fillings will drop out)?

3) slit the prawns open (erm, i dont know whats that part of the prawn called but its where people usually slit the prawns open).

for the base: depending on your preferences, you can choose to either spread butter, margarine or planta.

garlic: depending on your preferences, like whether you like it in chunky bits or if you dont, you can choose to grind it (so that it would not be so spicy when you bite onto it when eating).

spread on the base that you chose, then sprinkle on the garlic bits.

wrap the prawns in aluminium foil like a present (because once baked, the butter will melt and the sauce will flow out of the prawns ).

4) pop the aluminium foiled-prawns into the oven for a full 10 minutes.

its done (we never wrap it up so the juices all wasted, it will be ideal to dip the prawns onto the buttery sauce before devouring it)!

5) enjoy your fresh-juicy-tender-sweet prawns! (perfect with a cup of florida orange juice - personal preference la :p)

p/s: photos taken with my mum's hp camera. super clear isnt it? those who are interested, the model is samsung G800.

***

i did something stupid today. i went to buy some chap-pa-lang stuffs after sch and i was holding on to my purse and hp (i didnt bring my bag with me). soon i was making my rounds buying stuffs that i need and went to my car after that. to my horror, i found out that my hp was nowhere in sight! somemore i had already driven my car out of my lot preparing to make my way home. so i parked back and after making sure the hp was indeed not with me, i frantically traced my steps backwards and think where is the first shop i went to. alas! i had actually placed my hp at the cashier while taking out cash for payment. then i left without taking it! so i ran back to the shop - er, run 3 steps walk 2 steps la i was wearing skirt what. then i went in and asked auntie if she had seen my hp at the counter. she said no - my heart sank. then i looked around the shop, really not in sight. then i was thinking if someone took it while they were making payment. then i was contemplating borrowing phone from the auntie to call my number (i never did).

then once i reached home, i called back, nobody answered the phone. of cause la, who so stupid answer the phone after stealing it? so i called singtel and reported a loss. haiz, i guess i will be hp-less for the time being. so friends, if you need to call me, call my house ok?

anybody got a phone to spare?

HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!

lol. heehee. ya so the story is not true. not 100% true at least. it was true up to the part i said i wanted to borrow the phone from the auntie. then continuing the story, i think the auntie was scared that i would make a police report or something then she went on to a story on how people also left things in her shop and how she will keep for them and she repeated the same things many many times. i wanted to hurry up and go and look for it elsewhere and i politely thanked her and wanted to hurriedly rush out liao but she didnt want to stop talking so i cannot just leave like that. that would be rude, aint it? but thanks to the auntie who kept talking to me, i suddenly remembered that after i had finished making payment, i grabbed my phone and slip it into the plastic bag of stuffs.

super =.=' can?

after i walked out of the shop, i dont know whether to laugh or hit myself.

lesson learnt - always slip your belongings into your pockets or something. dont leave it lying around. you never know when you might just forget to take it with you when you leave (and give yourself such a scare of the century - so many contact details inside). oh ya and back up your contact numbers!

no pockets? hmm... you can try squeezing it into your socks or kiap-ing it under your armpits!

muahahaha!
